Data Deletion Instructions
Last updated: May 2, 2026
1. Overview
Eriol is a desktop streaming application that may store account data on your device, on Eriol's backend, and within third-party platforms you choose to connect (Twitch, YouTube, Kick, Restream, Facebook, and others). This page explains how to request deletion of any personal data Eriol holds about you, including data obtained through connected platforms.
2. What Data Eriol Stores
Depending on which features you have used, Eriol may store:
- Account data — email address, account identifier, subscription status
- Connected-platform tokens — OAuth access and refresh tokens for Twitch, YouTube, Kick, Restream, Facebook, etc., used to relay your stream and surface chat/events while you broadcast
- Stream metadata — channel ids, page ids, and live broadcast ids of your own channels (no third-party user content is persisted server-side)
- Saved overlays, alerts, panels and chat configurations — the templates and settings you create inside the app
- Operational logs — short-lived diagnostic logs (auth events, error reports) retained at most 30 days
Eriol does not persist viewer messages, follower lists, donation history, or any audience data from third-party platforms beyond the in-memory window required to render them in your live broadcast.
3. Request Deletion via Email
To request deletion of all data Eriol holds about you, send an email to info@eriol.io from the email address registered on your Eriol account. Include the subject line:
Data Deletion Request — <your account email>
Within 7 business days we will:
- Verify the request originates from the registered email address
- Revoke and delete any OAuth tokens stored for connected platforms (Twitch, YouTube, Kick, Restream, Facebook, etc.)
- Delete your account record, saved overlays/alerts/panels/configurations, and any associated stream metadata
- Purge the data from our active databases and from any backups within 30 days
- Send you a written confirmation once deletion is complete
4. Self-Service Deletion from the App
You can also delete your account directly from the Eriol desktop app:
- Open the app and go to Settings → Account
- Click Delete account and confirm
This triggers the same backend deletion flow described in Section 3 and revokes all connected-platform tokens.
5. Disconnecting Individual Platforms
If you only want to remove data tied to a specific platform (for example, revoke Eriol's access to your Facebook account without deleting the Eriol account itself):
- In Eriol: open Settings → Integrations, find the platform, click Disconnect. Eriol's stored tokens for that platform are deleted immediately.
- In Facebook: open facebook.com/settings → Business Integrations, locate "Eriol", and remove it. Facebook will notify Eriol via the data-deletion callback and any remaining tokens will be purged.
- In Twitch: open Settings → Connections and disconnect Eriol.
- In YouTube / Google: open Google Account → Third-party access and remove Eriol.
- In Kick: open Settings → Connections and revoke Eriol.
- In Restream: open Restream's app authorizations panel and remove Eriol.
6. Data We Cannot Delete
Some data may be retained when legally required or for legitimate operational reasons, specifically:
- Invoice and billing records, retained for the period required by tax law in our jurisdiction
- Aggregated, anonymised usage analytics that no longer identify you
- Records of past communications with our support team, retained for fraud-prevention purposes
This residual data cannot be linked back to you after the deletion described above completes.
7. Contact
For any question about this process or to escalate a deletion request, contact us at info@eriol.io. We typically respond within two business days.
